Dark Age Money and Resources

The monetary system as defined in Vampire: the Dark Ages is surprisely accurate for a dark fantasy role playing game. As we are dealing with a slightly earlier period though some of the levels of resources needed to be amended. Below is a brief description of the monetary system and a list of goods, weregilds (death money), fines and other items along with their prices, most are accurate though a few are made up (in conjunction with the V:tDA rulebook). As the prices here are assembled from documents covering about a 400 year period, allow a little leeway for error. A revised Resources background can be found here.

Pound (l): 240 silver pennies / 48 silver shillings
Shilling (s): 5 silver pennies
Penny (d): 1.55gr of silver
